FAU course requirements and assignments are uploaded to My FAU or Black Board.
Gaining Access into FAU Online Library from off campus:
1. Obtain an FAU Student Identification Card (Owl card)
2. Log onto www.fau.edu
3. Left column go to library or log on directly to www.fau.edu/library
4. Under the Research tab on the top of the page go to “Off campus Connect (EZProxy)”
5. Log into the system by entering the 14-digit number on the front/back of your FAU Owl Card, beginning with 219. Do not type the letter "A" at the beginning or end. Then put in your PIN(Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number) in the other box.
6. Once you are logged in you may research and access all of the library materials.
7. To find articles you can look under the Research tab – find – article/indexes/databases (if you know the journal or database name).
8. You can look up Databases by subject if you do not know any specific names.
9. SAGE is a good journal, look in the syllabus bibliography or references.

My FAU and Black Board
Teaching and Leadership Center Participants are provided an opportunity to receive FAU course content information through either My FAU or Black Board. Directions for accessing this information are provided on this blog. We hope you find this blog useful.
Directions for My FAU
Get your FAU email; view your grades; order transcripts; plus a whole lot more.
• Log on to www.fau.edu. Go to top tab Current Students then My FAU.
• Your username is the beginning of your FAU email
If you do not know this, go to Lookup Username/FAUNet ID
Complete the questions and hit submit and your information will pop up.

• Enter your password.
As of October 30, 2007, the initial default password for all new users is date of birth date in the format MMDDYY.
If you became a student, employee, or faculty member before that date but never logged into one of the above systems, your password could be your birth date in 00DDYY (2 zeros followed by 2-digit day and 2-digit year of birth) or the last 6 digits of your SSN.
In most systems you will be prompted to change your password. We suggest that you choose a very secure password and then use it for all the systems you use.
• must be 5-20 characters in length
• must contain a mix of letters and digits (at least 1 of each)
• FAU Self Service (Owls) to view your grades or request official transcripts
• Email button on top right of home page

• Log on to www.fau.edu. Go to top tab Current Students then Black Board Login.
• Username is the same as above.
• Password should be the same as above.
If it does not work then hit Forgot your password?
Complete the form and they will email you directions on how to reset your password.
Please set it to whatever you have for MY FAU.
