Directions for My FAU
Get your FAU email; view your grades; order transcripts; plus a whole lot more.
• Log on to www.fau.edu. Go to top tab Current Students then My FAU.
• Your username is the beginning of your FAU email
If you do not know this, go to Lookup Username/FAUNet ID
Complete the questions and hit submit and your information will pop up.

• Enter your password.
As of October 30, 2007, the initial default password for all new users is date of birth date in the format MMDDYY.
If you became a student, employee, or faculty member before that date but never logged into one of the above systems, your password could be your birth date in 00DDYY (2 zeros followed by 2-digit day and 2-digit year of birth) or the last 6 digits of your SSN.
In most systems you will be prompted to change your password. We suggest that you choose a very secure password and then use it for all the systems you use.
• must be 5-20 characters in length
• must contain a mix of letters and digits (at least 1 of each)
• FAU Self Service (Owls) to view your grades or request official transcripts

On line tool for courses; discussion boards; submit work; email class and professor; and other nifty features.
• Log on to www.fau.edu. Go to top tab Current Students then Black Board Login.
• Username is the same as above.
• Password should be the same as above.
If it does not work then hit Forgot your password?
Complete the form and they will email you directions on how to reset your password.
Please set it to whatever you have for MY FAU.
The TLC Programs create model Alternative Certification Program that serves as a comprehensive resource for selected candidates in Broward County Public Schools. Follow-Up Assignment
New Teacher Academy
• Contact a National Board Certified Teacher from the list provided at NTA and schedule two separate meetings with him/her. These meetings must be separated by at least a few instructional days because the second meeting will focus on work you have done in your classroom based on the first meeting.
• Take to the first meeting:
o A completed Lesson Overview (use attached form) of a lesson you have taught.
o Three work samples generated by that lesson from three different students.
• Take to the second meeting:
o A completed Lesson Overview of a lesson you have taught. This lesson should be based on your first lesson’s outcome and your discussion with the NBC teacher.
o Three work samples generated by that lesson from three different students.
• After the second meeting, the NBC teacher will submit all necessary paperwork to HRD. After notification is received that you have completed the follow up, you will receive an email with further instruction.
• You may continue to contact any NBC teacher on the list for support.

Look on CAB - BCPS Resources. Then click on Staff Development. When that opens, look to the top for HRD-NTA and when you open that, all the NTA documents are there.
